Job Overview
The University of Dubuque is a growing faith-based University that is seeking a Graduate Assistant - Heritage Center Social Media and Marketing for the 2025-2026 term, with a potential renewal for 2026-2027.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with stewardship of Center programs, facilities, and resources
- Maintain social media sites including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and the CampusGroups app
- Manage distribution of promotional print materials on campus and in the community
- Manage distribution of promotional print materials on campus and in the community
- Serve as liaison to staff, student, Heritage Performing Arts Advisory Committee
- Assist in student and patron engagement efforts
- Assist in identifying and fostering various university partnerships
- Assist in database management related to promotion of events
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University's Mission
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree is required and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University of Dubuque Masters' program
- Proficient computer skills (Excel spreadsheet, Outlook, Data entry technology, PowerPoint, Word, Internet, Search engines, and social media)
- Flexibility with schedule as need arises (ex. evening or weekend commitments)
- Utilize excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and interpersonal
- Ability to work with a variety of students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community professionals
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple ongoing projects at a given time
- Maintain a professional appearance
All graduate tuition is waived for the student for the term in which they serve as a GA. In return for a waiver of tuition, the assistantship recipient agrees to provide service to the University equivalent to twenty (20) hours per week. Additionally, this position has the ability to receive campus housing and a meal plan or hourly compensation for duties/hours in addition to the required twenty (20) hours per week.
