Job Overview
The Account Manager is the primary day-to-day contact for clients. The Account Manager works collaboratively with other MedOne personnel to build and manage the service relationship with clients, their medical plan administrators, and broker partners.
Essential Job Functions
- Serve as the primary day-to-day support for clients
- Build and maintain business relationships by providing prompt and accurate service to promote customer loyalty
- First point of client contact for general inquiries such as escalated member issues, plan design questions, etc.
- Assist with onboarding new clients
- Manage client’s pharmacy benefit design updates, projects, and follow-ups
- Organize and maintain client documentation within and outside of CRM
- Interact directly with internal and external clients to build positive relationships
- Assist with establishing and managing client project parameters and requirements
- Assist in creating, analyzing, and presenting prescription drug performance data and client specific plan recommendations
- Attend, present and record notes at client and/or vendor meetings
- Serve as back-up to the Member Advocate team when call volume is high
- Research and resolve issues pertaining to eligibility, claim adjudication, and billing
- Attend client benefit fairs and open enrollment meetings
- Contribute to department and company goals
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively with other departments to resolve issues and improve processes
- Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills which convey understanding and clarity
Position/Work Hours
- Full-time position
- Exempt employee
- Located at Corporate in Dubuque, IA or fully remote
- Must be able to travel on an as needed basis, some overnight travel within the U.S.
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related area or equivalent work experience in a related field
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Strong time management and prioritization skills in an environment that can present frequent interruption
- Must be timely and dependable
- Desire to educate and consult with clients and business partners to resolve issues and develop solutions
- Demonstrated desire to learn new information and share knowledge amongst the team and cross-functionally
Highly Preferred Experience & Skills
· Background in pharmacy, pharmacy benefits, or other related healthcare field
