Account Manager – Heavy Duty & Industrial Lubricants

Rainbo Oil is adding an additional Account Manager to support continued growth in our business. This role is focused on expanding our presence and increasing revenue within the Quad Cities territory. We are specifically seeking candidates with a background in oil and lubricants, heavy duty, or industrial applications who are motivated by growth and long-term earning potential. This position offers unlimited potential for the right individual.

Job Summary

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to grow existing customer relationships and secure new business within an assigned territory. This role plays a key part in increasing revenue by managing client relationships, generating and qualifying leads, negotiating with customers, and staying informed on market and competitive activity. The Account Manager will serve as a trusted representative of Rainbo Oil while consistently demonstrating our core values.

Territory

This role covers the Rockford, IL area and requires a strong local presence, including frequent face-to-face interaction with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve personal and company sales goals
  • Grow and sustain an active customer base within the assigned territory
  • Focus on heavy duty and industrial lubrication sales while meeting profitability targets
  • Perform daily outreach to existing and prospective customers to build strong, long-term relationships
  • Develop clear positioning and messaging that differentiates Rainbo Oil, our products, and our services
  • Collaborate with internal teams to generate sales opportunities and deliver excellent customer service
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on territory activity, prospects, and sales potential using required platforms
  • Stay current on industry trends, product knowledge, and company developments
  • Follow all company policies and procedures and consistently represent Rainbo Oil's core values

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven outside B2B sales experience
  • Strong preference for experience in oil and lubricants, heavy duty equipment, or industrial markets
  • Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented
  • Experience with sales techniques, prospecting, and pipeline management
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
  • Excellent verbal, written, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Compensation

  • $60,000–$70,000 base salary plus commission
  • Unlimited earning potential
