Accountant / Bookkeeper

Job Overview

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements to ensure that all transactions are accounted for correctly and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Accounts Payable Management: Process and track incoming invoices, verify their accuracy, and ensure timely payment to vendors while managing cash flow efficiently.
• Accounts Receivable Management: Generate invoices for customers, track outstanding receivables, and follow up on overdue payments to maintain healthy cash flow.
• Payroll Processing: Accurately process and record payroll, including withholding taxes and other deductions, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for management review.
• Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, perform periodic inventory counts, and reconcile any discrepancies.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (ERP or SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Strong understanding of financial principles and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of manufacturing industry accounting practices is a plus.
