Position Specifics:
Department: Accounting Clerk/Assistant to HR
Reports to: Controller, Human Resources Manager
Supervises: None
Purpose:
Performs various accounting and clerical duties at the Decorah location supporting other store locations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Sales administration record keeping, supports sales staff and sales managers with daily sales activities.
- Reconciles cash daily.
- Maintains monthly reports for account reconciliations.
- Mails customer statements.
- Reports payroll hours biweekly to HR.
- Miscellaneous office duties helping other co-workers with related tasks as deemed necessary by the Controller.
- Provides assistance with HR related tasks as assigned by the HR Manager.
- Provides back-up assistance with incoming phone calls.
Requirements:
- 3 + years in an administrative assistant or accounting position is preferred.
- Understands basic accounting fundamentals such as debits/credits, accounts receivable, payables, & general ledger experience preferred.
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and IE, Firefox, Google
- Ability to use various computer programs specific to the position.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Customer Service Experience.
- Degree in Accounting and/or Human Resources discipline preferred but not required.
