A Dubuque company is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team. This is an entry-level position. If you have an interest or background in accounting, this might be a role for you! This is a long-term, evaluation to hire position. 

Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible for requesting Health Plan funding from clients to pay claims and managing the claim fund from beginning to end
• Checking in physical checks, processing them, and posting cash received to the client accounts
• Other items of responsibility include researching questions and helping to make sure the bank accounts reconcile

Requirements:

• There are daily and monthly deadlines that need to be met with this position, so attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational skills are important in this role. 
• Basic knowledge of accounting and Excel experience is also helpful
