Job Overview
The University of Dubuque is a growing University that is seeking Adjunct Instructor of 3D Animation and Design in the Digital Art and Design Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in 3D animation, providing instruction that encompasses both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field. This position is part-time, with teaching assignments scheduled according to the academic calendar. The Adjunct Instructor of 3D Animation and Design will report to the department chair and collaborate with other faculty members to ensure the success of the program.
Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate courses in 3D animation, covering topics such as animation principles, modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, and compositing.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Cinema 4D, Blender, Adobe After Effects, or equivalent.
- Develop course lesson plans and instructional materials that align with program goals and objectives.
- Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on demonstrations to facilitate student learning and comprehension.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students on their individual projects and assignments.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D degree in the relevant discipline
- Five or more years' experience working in the field preferred
- University teaching experience preferred
