Job Description

The Advertising & Marketing Manager is responsible for managing production of advertising mediums including, but not limited to print, direct mail, social, out-of-home and more. This includes managing overall schedules internal and external designers, as well as budgets for the projects. They coordinate all internal signage to support promotion and merchandising schedules with marketing staff and store operations. They work Marketing and Purchasing to plan execution strategies on projects for both design and media planning, as well as helping to support Theisen’s Co-Op. They work directly with the Marketing Team to coordinate traditional and digital campaigns for designers. This job requires continuous attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, multi-tasking, and working with confidential information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates degree in Graphic Design, Creative Arts, English, Business or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Marketing and Advertising
  • Previous management experience required

Job Duties

  • Supervise and manage internal staff of Graphic Designers
  • Manage and plan media orders with outside vendors for printers, radio, newspapers and more to align with the promotional calendar and marketing budget
  • Develop, create, and manage timelines and project workloads for designers for print, social calendar, digital, in-store signage and more
  • Work with Leadership to identify and develop tactics, marketing plans, sales tools, presentations and sell sheets, point of purchase and product materials
  • Conceptualize and execute creative marketing
  • Participate in selection and management process for bringing aboard outside vendors in marketing, advertising, and media
  • Coordinate creation and publication for in-store signage, materials and more
  • Work with vendors for ad approvals, product descriptions, and image requests
  • Work with designers internally and externally for the creation of marketing components
  • Work with data to create meaningful reports for internal presentations
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

  • Experience in Project Management
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites
  • Inherent understanding of how to present meaningful results and build basic reports
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to meet deadlines with accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and flexible in attending to priorities as they arise
  • Ability to identify relevant subject matter of interest for a particular online audience/constituent group
  • Understanding or ability to learn the creation, publication and distribution components in marketing
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload with multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively express ideas or instructions to others
  • Ability to professionally interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team

Physical Demands

Frequent physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, dexterity, and light grasping.   Occasional physical demands include lifting up to 25 lbs., bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, squatting, climbing stairs and firmly grasping.  The employee is required to accept incoming calls and must be able to hear and speak.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently.  The associate must have the manual dexterity to manually operate and use a computer and other basic office equipment.

Work Environment and Working Conditions

This position will be performed inside a climate-controlled office facility.  The noise level is low to medium and typical of an office environment.  Potential hazards include electrical hazards.  Atmospheric conditions are typical of an office environment and may include exposure to odors and dust.
