As an Ag/Commercial Loan Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Ag and Commercial clients by providing them with the financial solutions they need to succeed. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with diverse variety of entrepreneurs in the community, understanding their unique financial needs, and offering tailored lending solutions.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain relationships with Ag and Commercial clients, including agribusiness and small to large commercial business owners.
· Assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and determine appropriate lending solutions.
· Structure loan packages to meet the specific needs of our wide variety of clients, including operating loans, equipment financing, and real estate loans.
· Monitor loan portfolios and proactively address any potential risks or issues.
· Proactively generate leads and referrals for deposit accounts, including checking, savings, money market, and certificate of deposit (CD) accounts.
· Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the specific business sectors.
· Collaborate with other members of the banking team to cross-sell additional products and services to agricultural clients.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position may be responsible for supervising assigned staff.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Requirements

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel
Some travel may be required between offices on a limited basis.
Required Education and Experience
· Bachelor's degree in finance, agricultural economics, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial and/or agricultural lending or a related field.
· Strong understanding of agricultural/commercial operations.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
· Solid financial analysis skills, including the ability to assess credit risk and structure loan packages.
· Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements related to agricultural lending.
· Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and goals.
