A locally owned and established company in Dubuque, IA is seeking an experienced Air Compressor Technician to join their team! This Direct Hire opportunity offers steady hours, excellent benefits, and the chance to work independently while servicing a loyal customer base throughout Eastern Iowa.

What You’ll Do

• Travel daily throughout Eastern Iowa to service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors and related equipment.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on rotary screw and reciprocating air compressors.
• Maintain and stock your company vehicle with the necessary tools and parts for daily work.
• Safely use tools including pipe wrenches, impact tools, welders, and drill presses.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the company on-site.
• Attend Gardner Denver training sessions to stay current on certifications.
• Participate in an on-call rotation one weekend per month (typically only 3–4 calls per year, compensated for time).

What We’re Looking For

• Prior air compressor or maintenance/mechanical experience required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your schedule efficiently.
• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Willingness to travel within Eastern Iowa (home each night).

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts
• On-call rotation: One weekend per month (compensated)
• Pay: $25–$32/hour, depending on experience
