Job Overview

We’re assisting a locally owned retail business in hiring a full-time Assistant Store Manager. The right person will be groomed to help run day-to-day store operations and lead the retail team.

Pay: Starting at $50,000/year + sales bonuses and growth incentives
Schedule: Full-time | Must be available for evening shifts (until 8:00 pm) a couple times per week and every other weekend
Store Hours: Monday–Friday: 9:00 am–8:00 pm | Saturday: 9:00 am–5:00 pm | Sunday: 12:00 pm–5:00 pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in day-to-day operations of the retail store
• Handle scheduling, training, and coaching of retail staff
• Lead and motivate sales team to meet performance goals
• Assign tasks and ensure smooth in-store operations
• Oversee timely and accurate delivery scheduling and coordination
• Support store owner with expansion planning and execution

Qualifications:

• Retail experience required; background in appliances, furniture, or home improvement retail preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to train, supervise, and coach a diverse team
• High level of organization and problem-solving ability
• Willingness to grow into a larger leadership role over time

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
• Lift and move moderately heavy items as needed
• Comfortable working in a busy retail environment
