Job Overview: Are you passionate about sales and seeking a new career opportunity? Our client’s Higher Education Division is actively hiring an Author Account Manager to cultivate lasting relationships with authors, drive product upsells, and contribute from their home office in Dubuque, Iowa. Prior sales experience is not required!  While there are sales in the position, this role is more about building relationships and consulting clients. 

Responsibilities:

• Cultivate and manage relationships with authors, focusing on upselling for increased sales
• Travel to visit authors or attend conventions to effectively promote products
• Initiate and oversee the revision and reprint processes
• Coordinate contracts and manage production for revisions
• Generate leads for outside sales through bookstore contacts and author referrals
• Implement successful sales strategies to enhance profits

Qualifications:

• A high-performing individual with a competitive, well-organized, and self-driven mindset
• Sales experience from any industry is valued
• Bachelor's degree - from any major!
