About the Role Are you a detail-oriented person who understands how things are built? Edwards Cast Stone is looking for a motivated Drafter to join our team. This isn't just a "sit-behind-a-desk" job; you are the bridge between a blueprint and our production floor. Your primary focus will be creating the technical "tickets" our plant uses to manufacture high-quality cast stone products.

What You’ll Do

• Create Production Tickets: Translate architectural drawings into clear, accurate work orders for our wet cast and production teams.

• AutoCAD Drafting: Develop precise diagrams and shop drawings that guide the manufacturing process.

• Problem Solve: Identify and resolve design questions before they hit the plant floor to ensure "zero-error" production.

• Collaborate: Work closely with our experienced drafting team and production team to keep projects moving on schedule.

What We’re Looking For

• Construction Logic: You don’t need 20 years of experience, but you should understand basic building principles (reading a tape measure, understanding scales, and how parts fit together).

• Mechanical Aptitude: You have a "knack" for seeing how things are assembled in 3D.

• Software Savvy: Experience with AutoCAD is a plus, but the ability to learn new digital systems is essential.

• Team Mindset: A desire to eliminate "gray areas" through clear communication and accurate work.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Background in construction, trades, or manufacturing is a significant plus.
