Automation Engineer Co-op/Internship

SUMMARY:

As an Automation Co-Op you will learn and implement automation and manufacturing advancement across our independent subsidiaries. This is a great position you would be able to work with different levels of the organization to kickstart your technical leadership journey. Typically, you would be able to assist with the development and implementation of an actual automation project on our manufacturing shop floor. We will provide you with the necessary guidance to implement the project. 

 RESPONSIBILITES:

• Learn People, Process & Product 
• Assist with development & implementation a Solution (internally or externally) 
• Track project KPIs (Key Performance Index) throughout the project 
• PLC / Robotics programming as required. 
• Develop other documentation for the project/s. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Be enrolled in a four-year technical program related to the foundry industry. This position will require extensive computer use. An individual must be proficient with computers. A good working knowledge of foundry sand and sand testing, along with casting defects, is a plus.
