What You’ll Do:
- Oversee and manage the investment portfolio and implementation of balance sheet strategies as appropriate.
- Oversee the liquidity position of the Credit Union.
- Manage the allocation and investment of cash to optimize rate of return and compliance with established policy limits.
- Manage the trending of cash flows and alert management to changes.
- Manage the interest rate risk function of the credit union.
- Manage the scenario testing of strategic changes through asset liability management.
- Prepare quarterly reporting package and present at asset liability management committee meetings.
- Monitor concentration of products and services.
- Monitor loan and deposit market rates and competitor trends to recommend pricing changes and related strategies.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures for areas of oversight.
- Maintain relationships with third party brokers and investment advisors.
- Recommend new product pricing decisions to management based on analysis performed.
- Work with CFO and SVP, Finance on the financial impact of regulation and accounting changes specific to areas of responsibility.
- Forecast investment, loan, and deposit yield and growth for budget purposes and monitor throughout the year.
- Responsible for special finance projects as assigned.
- Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities.
- Assist in ensuring the credit union suffers minimal losses due to failure to comply with operational procedures, regulations, and applicable laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience accounting or financial industry, required.
- Investment portfolio management experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Ability to demonstrate complex problem solving and strong decision-making skills.
- Excellent computer and technology skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills.
