Dubuque AREA- $16-$18/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented person to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in and around our apartment complex. This role is vital to keeping our property safe, clean, and welcoming for all residents and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize common areas, including:
  • Lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and elevators
  • Laundry rooms, mailrooms, and community spaces
  • Public restrooms (if applicable)
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
• Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly
• Clean windows, glass doors, and mirrors
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or air filters
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocking as needed
• Assist with setup and cleanup for community events (if applicable)
• Clean vacant units in preparation for new tenants (optional/responsibility may vary)
• Respond to emergency cleaning situations promptly

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Prior janitorial or custodial experience (preferred but not required)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Friendly and professional demeanor around residents
