Job Description:

PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Ensure timely material availability and efficient production by managing both purchasing and production scheduling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Work with production supervisors, applications, and CSRs to establish production schedule that will support our customers’ needs and optimize production capacity.
 

Adjust production schedules based on capacity requirements/changes. 

During the scheduling process, assist with the identification of bottlenecks within production and recommend capacity changes as necessary.

Working with the production supervisors, track production progress, identify potential delays or issues, and make necessary adjustments to the production schedule.              
           
Contact sales representatives as needed throughout the manufacturing process.  Be the main point of contact for CSRs & the sales field from order release to shipment.

Work with peers in the supply chain organization to ensure timely delivery of purchased & manufactured components to support the production schedule.

Manage inventory levels utilizing MRP., timely responding to messages including order, expedite, delay, etc.

Schedule and expedite the delivery of purchased materials to support future and current production schedule.

Respond to suppliers who cannot meet business needs, resolve issues, and timely communicate to the supply chain manager & other leadership as required.

Responsible for supporting and communicating with suppliers & internal resources regarding rejections of non-conforming material.

Create and manage work orders for all manufactured components.

Working with the shipping and receiving teams, assist in the resolution of issues to ensure prompt and accurate inventory transactions.

Communicate errors or process breakdowns in real time and coordinate efforts to resolve issues with appropriate personnel.

Support inventory and planning processes to increase the accuracy of lot sized parts, nonstock programs, SMI programs or other industry practices.

Identify slow moving or inactive inventory and recommend disposition.

Process/print documentation related to production as needed, shipping labels, serial labels, pick slips, ect.    

Communicate to suppliers their performance based on quality, warranty, and delivery.

Assist the supply chain manager with onboarding of new suppliers during new product development process and determine inventory flow for new components.

Maintain JDE item branch data.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
