Job Overview
Location: Dyersville & Manchester, IA (on-site)
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift (Days)
We are seeking a Procurement Buyer to support purchasing and supplier logistics for a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on scheduling materials, managing supplier performance, and supporting production needs while maintaining optimal inventory levels. This is a direct hire opportunity. Meaning, the right fit candidate will go directly onto the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for company provided benefits.
- Communicate daily with suppliers on schedules and releases
- Schedule and manage purchased materials and inventory levels
- Expedite material deliveries to support production plans
- Monitor and improve supplier performance
- Resolve supplier non-conformance and short-term performance issues
- Support procurement analysts and internal teams
- Execute inventory and material replenishment plans using ERP systems
- Drive continuous improvement in logistics and supplier processes
- Associate degree required (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing preferred
- Strong math, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
- ERP inventory system experience (Epicor a plus)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
