Job Overview
- Responsible for ensuring freight is moved safely, efficiently and in accordance with all DOT regulations.
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order
- Assist with loading and unloading as needed (forklift or pallet jacks)
- Maintain communication with Logistics Coordinator for instruction regarding delivery, pickup, routes, etc.
- Maintain logs and DVIRs
- Couple or uncouple trailers are required
- Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods.
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Class A, Class B or Class C with a clean driving record.
- 2 or more years of tractor trailer driving experience.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects when required.
- A commitment and dependability to the team as a whole
