Join the Y and make a difference! The Dubuque Community Y is hiring for positions in our before and after school child care programs, as well as mornings and/or afternoons in our two Early Learning Centers! Up to $15.00/hour, this position also includes a free Y membership and meals are provided if your shift is during a mealtime. No nights or weekends are required and we are closed most holidays! Full-time staff will also be eligible for health and dental insurance, 10% retirement after meeting eligibility requirements, and 19 days of PTO during your first year of employment!

Qualified candidates will:

  • Provide a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on building achievement and belonging
  • Be familiar (or willing to become familiar) with child management techniques and appropriate child behavior
  • Following CACFP food programming guidelines, will assist with snack preparation, serving, and clean-up
  • Be familiar (or willing to become familiar) with DHS regulations and obtain educational requirements as required by DHS
