CLAIMS SPECIALIST 2

WAGE: $17/HOUR

CONTRACT: 6 MONTHS+ REMOTE

Overview of Position

Responsible for resolving claims issues by working with providers, clients, and team members. This individual should be a team player and also be able to proactively pursue departmental improvements. Will need to proactively help the leadership team improve turnaround times, processes, or staff training. Responsible for identifying errors through data analysis and auditing and working with various teams to ensure those errors are corrected in both the short and long term.

What will be additional duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Act as a liaison for clients, research and resolve ongoing provider issues
• Assist leadership team in improving department processes, training, and turnaround times
• Responsible for daily claims audits to ensure quality
• Will receive limited direction on projects and will be responsible for researching and bringing project to a resolution

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• 1+ years in Medical Claims Processing (Payment), Medical Claims Auditing, or Medical Claims Analysis
• High School Diploma or GED required
• CPC certification or similar is a plus, but not required

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• Critical Thinking Skills
• Attention to Detail
• Written & Verbal Communication
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Experience Analysis large sums of Claims Data
• Any knowledge or exposure to Medicare Claim Rules is a plus but is not required.
