What You'll Do:
- Manage and foster clinical relationships between MedOne and our clients.
- Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to promote clinical programs, meeting the needs of current and potential clients.
- Partner with Account Executives to optimize drug mix, offer clinical improvement recommendations, and implement cost-containment strategies.
- Review and approve specialty drug requests and appeal reviews for assigned clients.Communicate specialty drug approvals, emphasizing therapy appropriateness, treatment duration, cost, and patient outcomes.
- Report on patient and financial impacts related to adverse determinations for assigned clients.
- Deliver exceptional clinical consultation and account management services, aiming to exceed client expectations and support retention.
- Manage the clinical review and prior authorization processes, explaining clinical rationale, formulary alternatives, and appeals to members.
- Conduct drug utilization reviews (concurrent, retrospective, and prospective) to optimize patient care.
- Support Member Advocate and Account Management teams with pharmacist-related interventions and client-facing meetings.
- Serve as a clinical liaison between physicians, pharmacists, and pharmacy providers.
- Develop and maintain clinical content for MedOne programs as the subject matter expert.
What You Will Bring to MedOne:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD with an active, unrestricted RPh license in Iowa (or ability to obtain reciprocity within 4 months).
- At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing or consultative role within managed care or PBM.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey clinical information clearly to both clinical and non-clinical audiences.
- Problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing and implementing effective solutions.
- Attention to detail and organizational prowess in both verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in drug literature and clinical trial analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Solid understanding of PBM, formulary management, pharmacy claims, and managed care principles.
- Residency experience is a plus.
- Some travel may be required.

Location: Offices in either Dubuque, IA, or Kansas City, MO, or the position can be remote within the United States.
