Clinical Supervisor
Position is for Acute and Urgent Care
Grand River Medical Group is seeking an experienced and confident Registered Nurse to supervise our Acute and Urgent Care. As a clinical supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the staff and the daily operations related to patient care.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills. You will be knowledgeable in caring for patients of all ages and be expected to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while providing patient-centered, high-quality healthcare.
This is a full-time, salaried position, 40-45 hours per week. This position has a flexible schedule with minimal evening and weekend requirements. Urgent Care and Acute are open Monday-Friday, 7:30am-7:00pm, and Saturday-Sunday, 8:30am-4:00pm.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide direct supervision to specific clinic staff, ensuring appropriate assessment and treatment of patients.
- Manage the training and development of current and newly hired staff.
- Prepare schedules and assign work to ensure adequate and efficient staffing levels to deliver a high standard of patient service.
- Perform evaluations and address performance issues with the assistance of the Clinical Operations Manager and/or Human Resources.
- Serve as a key problem-solving resource for staff on patient issues.
- Monitor patient feedback and help resolve complaints and service issues.
- Analyze patient flow and suggest solutions for revealed problems within the clinic.
- Assist with the implementation of new process, procedure and policies for improving clinician and staff efficiencies for clinical functions.
- Perform administrative duties, which may include, but are not limited to, preparing and monitoring timekeeping reports, compiling data and reports, and managing electronic medical record.
- Perform nursing duties as assigned, such as primary, triage, or prior authorization nurse.
- Fill in for patient service representative staff as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- The Clinical Supervisor has supervisory responsibility including approximately 8-15 direct reports.
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurses.
- Minimum of five years professional nursing experience, including one year supervisory level experience, preferably in medical practice setting.
- Must be a licensed RN with an active license to practice in the state of Iowa.
