Your Responsibilities
As a Community Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Coordinator, you will abide by the Iowa Department of Human Services Community Adolescent Pregnancy's Prevention Grant as well as the mission, vision, values, and policies of Hillcrest Family Services. Program hours of operation include the nine months of the local school year, some evenings for after-school and summer programs, and some weekends over the summer for community outreach events. Responsibilities will also include:
- Promoting the CAPP Program and outreach services at community events and colleges
- Developing and providing evidence-based, risk-reducing, comprehensive sexual health education and adolescent pregnancy prevention education with and without fidelity
- Providing resources and education around expectant and parenting adolescents
- Actively participating in community coalition building and enhancement
- Assisting with Grant Renewal Annually
- Providing oversight to CAPP staff and volunteering as needed, reporting issues and concerns immediately to Community Health Education Manager
- Assisting with agency social media updates and promotions
- Fostering open communication with parents, phone calls, home visits, emails and newsletter
- Identifying, cultivating and researching new opportunities for agency offering with the existing and potential, markets in conjunction with the Community Health Education Manage in Dubuque County
- Attending monthly and/or quarterly meetings of the Dubuque County Wellness Coalition, CPPC, and Prevent Child Abuse Iowa, and other professional meetings as needed

What You Need
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Comfortability public speaking, using sexual health language
- Basic computer/keyboarding skills
- Ability to use email in a courteous and constructive manner
- Basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
What Makes You Stand Out
- Nursing or health related field and/or 2 year experience
- 1 year supervisory experience
