As the Compensation Administrator, you play a pivotal role in the analysis, coordination, and day-to-day administration of the company’s compensation programs. You ensure that pay practices are accurate, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals by maintaining data integrity, supporting payroll processes, and providing insights through research and reporting. This role acts as a key resource for internal stakeholders, helping to uphold compliance, improve efficiency, and support a positive employee experience through thoughtful compensation support.

What You'll Do
  • Payroll Processing: Compiles, inputs, and uploads all payroll entries for weekly/bi-weekly payroll into third party payroll processing systems, and special payroll processing when warranted. 
  • Partner in Research and Analysis: A commitment to staying updated with market trends and technology to align data driven compensation strategies.  
  • System Tools: Support the development of user processes to ensure the accuracy, trackability and timeliness of compensation changes, employee absences, and attendance points to ensure compliance. 
  • Audit and Compliance: Maintain regular audits of employee personnel files and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to ensure legal compliance and consistency in all fields related to employment law. 
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to stakeholders and peers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing to ensure day-to-day application of compensation programs, policies, and procedures. 
  • Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by upholding safety protocols and promoting a safety-first culture among all employees.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully the Compensation Administrator must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill and ability required. 

Education/Experience: 

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain compensation-related topics to employees, managers, and stakeholders. 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling payroll data and compensation adjustments, is important. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • An analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to interpret data, identify discrepancies, and recommend practical solutions. 
  • Collaborative team player, able to build relationships and work effectively across HR, finance, and operations teams. 
  • Experience with payroll processing, compensation programs, and related regulatory and compliance requirements. 
  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems with the ability to navigate, audit, and update employee data effectively. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential for data analysis, audits, and reporting. 
  • Commitment to promoting a positive workplace and safety-first culture.  
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, business, finance, or a related field preferred.
