Job Overview
Summary: The person in this position reports to the Director of Design and Engineering and the Lead Project Construction Manage. This person is responsible directly supervising the construction of building structures. This is a safety sensitive position because this is a hands-on foreman position working alongside the construction crews on installation of all types of our buildings from metal, beam, truss and greenhouses. This person will be driving to construction sites in a construction company vehicle, will be using a variety of power and hand tools, operating forklifts, scissor lifts and man lifts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the work activities of construction crews assigned to assemble fabric buildings onsite and provide input on their performance to the Assistant Project Manager.
- Prepare worksites for assembly and placement of buildings and/or assist purchaser in preparation of site as needed.
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints regarding installations.
- Mobilize and protect necessary construction equipment.
- Insure all parts and materials are available onsite.
- Monitor quality of the installations and report any problems or potential problems to the Assistant Project Manager.
- Document and photograph progress of construction projects.
- Perform any and all additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

- Knowledge of construction requirements and techniques
- Knowledge of building codes and restrictions
- Knowledge of corporate policies and procedures related to human resources management
- Knowledge of safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Ability to define and solve specific customer problems associated with installation
- Ability to supervise the work of others
- Must be forklift and equipment certified through company related training
- Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lift, manlifts and other equipment as trained
- Skilled at using construction tools and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to read complex instructions, blueprints and schematics
- Computer experience required
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
- Skilled at interpersonal communication
- Skilled at problems solving and organization
- Must have a valid driver’s license to drive truck and trailer
- Frequent travel is required including weekends
Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma is required.
- At least 1 year of experience.
- Associates Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules/procedures, operating manuals and procedure manuals. Must be able to read blueprints, complex instructions and schematics.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

In addition to the lifting the job requires various carrying, pushing/pulling, kneeling, and squatting.

The job is required to be performed outdoors exposed to all sort of weather elements including hot, humid, dry dusty and cold conditions. Some work may be required inside facilities. Noise level is moderate to loud for this position. ,

The person in this position needs continuous training in corporate policies and procedures related to product installation and human resources management, and construction techniques.
