Do you love working with digital technology and building products that are impacting millions of learners and educators every day? At McGraw Hill, we are developing learning solutions that are changing the way education happens! We’re seeking a Core Content Project Manager to join our Higher Education team. This is a remote position and can be based anywhere within the United States.
How can you make an impact?
As a Core Content Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the production of core content for multi-channel delivery such as eBooks, print, and adaptive learning resources. These projects have aggressive schedules that require detailed tracking, agility, and problem-solving to deliver on time to market. In this critical role you’ll collaborate internally (with product developers, portfolio, marketing and sales) and externally (with authors and global partners) to produce accessible learning content and resources that enrich the student experience for all learners.
What you’ll be doing:
- Establish a realistic project plan (including scope, schedule, resources, budget, risk, and quality of deliverables) for product execution. Ensure products are delivered to market in scope, on time and on budget per the product plan, meeting quality and accessibility requirements.
- Collaborate with program manager and product team to implement course and program goals and objectives in the delivery of each product.
- Guide authors and product team members on content preparation guidelines and best practices. Evaluate sample work during development stage for technical and production compliance, including rights/permissions and accessibility.
- Communicate with stakeholders, maintain integrity of data in all systems and report on project status.
- Manage global partners, evaluating performance and compliance with project specifications. Resolve issues to ensure continual development and training of external resources.
· Collaborate in cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives, process improvement, and piloting new digital tools for content creation.
We’re looking for someone with:
· Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of project management experience, including digital content production. Experience in publishing, copyediting, and proofreading preferred.
- Proven agility; able to succeed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Ability to lead a cross-functional team as the production expert, advising on workflows and identifying potential issues while guiding the team toward swift resolutions.
- Demonstrated organizational skills such as time management and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills adaptable across various stakeholder audiences both internally and externally.
· Proficiency with project management and digital authoring tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Adobe Acrobat and Habitat a plus.

As an education innovation company, we're proud to play our part by inspiring learners around the world. If you bring your curiosity, we'll help you grow in a collaborative environment where everyone shares a passion for success.
