Cut Off Operator

Job Overview

• Set up and operate cut-off machines (manual or automated).
• Measure and cut materials (metal, plastic, tubing, etc.) to precise dimensions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
• Perform routine machine adjustments and minor maintenance.
• Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Monitor machine performance and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Record production data and material usage.
• Required Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience operating cutting or machining equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, micrometers).
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE use
