Job Overview
Classification: Exempt
Hours: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; occasional evenings and weekends required
Benefits: monthly healthcare stipend, base pay plus commission/goal structure, flexible schedule, work-from-home opportunities, paid time off after 90 days
Pay will land between $35,000-$43,000 based on sales performance
The Development Coordinator’s overall role is to support organizational growth initiatives. This position operates in a highly creative environment while honing the administrative and project management skills that are key in the Main Street 4-Point Approach and Dubuque Main Street strategic plan. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative, executive support, and sales-related tasks, and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a growing non-profit organization. This position participates in a wide range of projects identified by the Executive Director.
Responsibilities
• Cover Office responsibilities from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday
• Cover Dubuque Farmers' Market Manager responsibilities 1-2 times per month
• Maintain and update mailing lists in MailChimp and other web-based and digital communications
• Update Maestro Community Manager with business and property information
• Organize the Outlook calendar & the S drive for Promotion and Investment-related events and meetings
• Assist in the management of the Executive Director’s schedule and calendar
• Help develop and generate promotions, ideas, and revenue-generating initiatives
• Provide event and meeting support as needed
• Coordinate auction donations for events
• Coordinate meetings for the Investment Drive
• Event sponsorship procurement
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements and skills
• 2+ years’ experience in customer service and inside sales
• Experience in marketing and event management
• Familiarity with business and sales principles
• Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
