A well-established company in Farley, IA is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join their team. This is a hands-on position responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of diesel trucks and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in their work, and enjoys working in a fast-paced shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections
• Conduct preventative maintenance and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and complete necessary repairs
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Keep the shop organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic or related role preferred
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Welding and fabrication experience a plus
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus but not required)
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a dependable work ethic

Schedule & Pay

• Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm
• Pay: $25–$35/hour, depending on experience
