Job Overview
- Perform oil changes and services on small equipment, vehicles, and large equipment such as: gantry cranes, ready-mix and semi-trucks.
- Document all maintenance requests and inspections in an online service app.
- Utilize the APC maintenance mobile app to perform daily tasks and properly document and submit work orders
- Perform monthly inspections on APC equipment.
- Place purchase orders (PO’s) for maintenance inventory and additional needed parts.
- Maintain OSHA safety procedures at all times when working around facilities and equipment.
- Will be occasionally asked to complete additional maintenance tasks and repairs when needed.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed in a timely manner.
- Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change.
- Excellent communication skills and self-motivated.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Must provide own set of general mechanic tools (specialty tools will be provided by the company).
- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two (2) years of technical diesel mechanic training or equivalent experience.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to operate all trucks and light, medium and heavy equipment and tools: Hand tools, automotive lifts and other hydraulic equipment, all city owned equipment and vehicles (for purposes of their repair and maintenance).
- CDL preferred, but not required.
