Diesel Technician

Express Employment in Platteville has partnered with a local business in Kieler, WI to search for a Diesel Technician. This is a full-time position.

Pay: $20–$40/hour, based on experience
Hours: 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Responsibilities may include:

• Perform maintenance such as oil/filter changes, tire changes, greasing, and battery replacement
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicle systems
• Repair brakes, suspension, steering, driveline, HVAC, and exhaust systems
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Diagnose hydraulic and PTO systems
• Perform wheel alignments and other mechanical repairs
• Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical issues
• Assist with emergency roadside repairs
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems
• Keep vehicles, parts, and shop areas clean and organized

Qualifications:

• Diesel mechanic or heavy-duty truck experience preferred
• Diesel schooling or hands-on mechanical experience is a plus
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently based on experience level
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities

Pay will be based on experience and skill level. Entry-level candidates may start around $20/hour, while experienced technicians may earn up to $40/hour.
