We are hiring a Full-Time Human Resources Director to be a part of our team of experienced professionals. The HR Director will lead and direct the functions of the Human Resources Department, including hiring and interviewing, administering pay, benefits and leave, and enforcing GMHC policies and practices.
Job Summary
Provides leadership for Human Resources (HR) within Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics (GMHC) through collaboration with staff members, other departments, customers and partners. Ensures the mission and cultural beliefs of GMHC are integrated into the organization's structures, policies, programs and practices. Oversees the planning, coordination and operations of all Human Resource functions, including but not limited to recruitment and retention, education, training and development, compensation and benefits, employee health & safety and employee relations. Provides HR leadership and guidance to managers. Coordinates GMHC's Human Resources with MercyOne and its Eastern Iowa Region.

Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field required.
Required Licensure and Certifications

Must provide proof of Basic Life Support via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintain current status.

Must complete Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire.

Must complete CareLearning training within 6 months of hire and maintain current status.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-
A minimum of three years of experience working in a human resources function required; preferably in a healthcare setting.

Advanced knowledge of experience in human resources practices, Iowa laws and regulations, and government and regulatory reporting requirements is required.

Prior experience with employee relations specific to FMLA and leave management is required.

Previous supervisory/leadership experience is required.

Prior experience with compensation and benefits is highly desired.
