What will this position do?   

The Director of Specialty Programs is a highly motivated professional with at least 5 years of successful specialty pharmacy and/or PBM experience assessing specialty drug therapies or similar responsibilities. The Director of Specialty Programs is responsible for the development of short-term and long-term specialty drug programs designed to meet the unique needs of MedOne's member and client base. This position will oversee the Specialty Programs team and will be responsible for the overall direction and operations of the service line. 

Experience & Skills Required for the Job:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or PharmD with current RPh licensure in Iowa or ability to gain reciprocity within 4 months.
• 5+ years of specialty pharmacy/PBM experience in assessing specialty drug therapies or administering specialty programs.
• Proficiency in PBM industry, formulary management, pharmacy claims, and managed care principles.
• Exceptional clinical skills with ability to apply sound judgment.
• Strategic thinking for business planning and execution.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication across organizational levels.
• Ability to translate clinical information for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Work effectively in fast-paced environments to meet deadlines.
• Excellent internal and external customer service.
• Collaborative team player.

Work Hours | Location

• This position can be remote within the United States. 
• Full-time, salaried/exempt position.
