Dispatcher (Part-Time)

Location: Dubuque, IA
Schedule:

• Training:
  • 2 weeks from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • 4 weeks from 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Regular Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
• Additional Requirement: 2 Saturday shifts required

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Dispatcher to join a local company's team. In this role, you will coordinate bus schedules, dispatch drivers, and serve as the communication hub between transit employees and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch buses and drivers via radio and telephone
• Track vehicle and driver locations
• Complete fill-in scheduling for absent drivers
• Operate communication systems and computer terminals
• Respond to customer questions, service requests, and complaints
• Enter customer interactions into the CRM system
• Prepare employee schedules, routes, and service documentation
• Maintain accurate records and assist with reports
• Process eligibility applications
• Order and distribute materials, supplies, or equipment
• Provide route and schedule information to customers and coworkers
• Coordinate and support daily transit operations
• Perform general clerical tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in dispatch, transportation, or customer service preferred
• Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
• Proficient with computers and willingness to learn new software
• Dependable and detail-oriented
