Your Responsibilities
As a Dynamic Systems Modeling (DSM) Engineer for the Construction & Forestry Division located in Dubuque, IA, you will...
- Provide modeling support to a single product line within the construction product portfolio.
- Identify and advocate for early design integration, delivering the right virtual model with the right fidelity at the right time.
- Collaborate with construction DSM analysts to integrate and improve common library toolsets, workflows, and processes.
- Provide direct analytical support to primary product line and auxiliary support to other product-lines, as required
- Lead the development of physics-based simulation models to support virtual full-vehicle performance testing and product design decisions
- Collaborate with product design teams to define continuous improvement opportunities, expand virtual test capability, and correlate simulation with physical test results
- Develop a growing understanding of product function, customer application, and machine operation

What Skills You Need
- 2 or more years of combined engineering experience from a full-time position, advanced degree program, co-op(s), and/or internships
- Fundamental understanding of physical systems and mathematics
- Applied engineering experience in controls, hydraulics, powertrain, and/or structural linkages
- Experience analyzing data with advanced software tools
- Ability to document and present technical work
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
What Makes You Stand Out
- Advanced user of MATLAB, Simscape, and Simulink software for simulation of mechanical systems
- Deep understanding in embedded-controls, hydraulic systems, powertrain, and/or structural linkages
- Previous work experience in physics-based dynamic modeling, controls, and correlation
- Advanced degree in an engineering discipline
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline
