Job Overview

As the eCommerce Operations Director at Crescent Electric, you will be the day-to-day business and operations lead for Crescent’s online eCommerce activities. Your primary goal will be to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth from existing customers through the eCommerce platform. In this position, you will be responsible for the user experience and operations necessary to support it from arrival on site through successful conversion.

This is a remote position.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Business owner for driving eCommerce conversion, upsell and cross-sell on the website. Work with VP and analytics resources to align internal teams to achieve KPIs (conversion, revenue, retention/rebuy, etc.)

  • Manage day-to-day performance. Identify, document, and drive to conclusion on opportunities to accelerate in an area where performance is good and remediate areas where it lags.

  • Ensure the eCommerce experience is a seamless one for all users of the site.

  • Develop and manage communications, including reporting of performance, which can be shared with internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Ongoing, direct communications and relationships with customers, internal stakeholders (sales, marketing), and vendors to ensure the site is supporting the needs of all three areas.

  • Remain engaged with the market through vendor and industry relationships to help define the strategic roadmap for the digital platform.

  • Participate in and advocate for ongoing technical improvements, including vendor and platform selection.

  • Provide necessary daily/weekly/monthly and quarterly reporting on activities and eCommerce performance.
  • Ensure that the web analytics platform reporting is linked to and aligned with business financial reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years experience in eCommerce website management.

  • Demonstrable experience in managing large catalog businesses, preferably in a B2B role.

  • Familiarity with commercial eCommerce and CMS platforms, ideally. NET-based platforms, specifically Episerver/Optimizely.

  • Experience directly and indirectly managing teams of eCommerce and digital marketing professionals.

  • Experience with a “test/learn/repeat” approach to website performance, able to define hypotheses, test, and provide actionable results.

  • Excellent working knowledge of Google Analytics, preferably GA4, ideally with Google or other major educator’s certification of the same.

  • Very familiar with commercial eCommerce and CMS platforms, ideally. NET-based platforms, specifically Episerver/Optimizely
