Job Overview
We are currently seeking a full-time ELECTRICAL ENGINEER preferably in our DUBUQUE, IOWA, WEST DES MOINES, IOWA or ROCK ISLAND, ILLINOIS office, but would be open to any of our office locations for the right candidate. Our team works with communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer who would work with Engineers, CAD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Surveyors and office staff in various capacities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing detailed electronical designs including such aspects as power distribution, lighting, grounding, emergency power systems, instrumentation and controls, and SCADA systems.
- Assist in completing electrical design for our projects by working with the assigned staff, other offices, Project Managers and other electrical/mechanical engineers.
- Provide design calculations, design drawings, project specifications, and construction observations for electrical work on projects in accordance with applicable codes.
- Ensures that production of drawings, specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements.
- Works with other disciplines to ensure there are no conflicts or interferences between disciplines.
- Develops specifications, working drawings, instructions, and other related documents of a complex project of moderate size.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of Electrical engineering design
- Experience with AutoCAD drafting software.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- PE in Iowa or ability to obtain in 6
