Job Overview
- Design and develop electrical systems for HVAC manufacturing equipment
- Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs (bill of materials)
- Use tools like AutoCAD Electrical for layouts and documentation
- Select and size electrical components (motors, controls, wiring, etc.)
- Test and validate designs (DVP&R, troubleshooting, debugging)
- Work with PLC systems and automation controls (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with codes (UL, CSA, NEC, IEC safety standards)
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and production teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Entry–mid level: 0–5 years experience
- Senior roles: 5–7+ years experience
- Skills in:
- CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor)
- PLC programming and automation
- Electrical standards and safety codes
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
