Your Responsibilities
As an Engineer, Crawler Electrical for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, Iowa you will:
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems, components, and wiring harnesses for Crawler equipment
- Own electrical deliverables throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept through production launch
- Partner cross-functionally with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to support new vehicle programs
- Support the Product Delivery Process (PDP) to ensure successful execution and on-time launch of new products
- Conduct competitive benchmarking and vehicle specification development to drive continuous product improvement
- Develop and maintain electrical design standards and guidelines for Crawler platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues on prototype and production machines

What Skills You Need
- Foundational knowledge of electrical systems and components (through coursework, internships, or practical experience)
- Experience with CAD or 3D modeling tools (Creo or similar preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze issues and support root cause resolution
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel up to 25% based on business needs
What Makes You Standout
- Exposure to electrical systems in mobile equipment, automotive, or industrial applications
- Experience or familiarity with wiring harnesses, schematics, or electrical integration
- Experience with tools such as Creo, ProCable, or Mentor Graphics Capital Harness
- Understanding of electrical components, suppliers, or manufacturing processes
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent related work experience
