A local growing Dubuque greater area manufacturer is seeking to add an Engineer to their team who will design and implement automated production machinery and control systems. The right fit candidate will partner to collaborate with vendors to design/​implement, install, start up, duplicate, and overhaul etc. automated production machinery. The right fit candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in engineering / science and have 2 years of electrical, control and automation integration design. This is a direct hire opportunity – meaning the right fit candidate will go directly into the hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for their robust benefits package.

What you get to do (in a snap-shot):

• Designing and modification of current machine electrical/​electronics to facilitate advanced and automated control processes
• Assist in developing/​incorporating easier and more user-friendly controls for better awareness of machine operations and safety functions.
• Create a monitoring / data feedback system to college and analyze machine / operator productively information.
• Troubleshoot automated production machinery, conduct root cause analysis/​troubleshoot/​repair as needed
• Train, mentor and assist electromechanical technicians.

What we’d like you to bring to the opportunity:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• two (2) years in electrical, control and automation integration design
• Experience with PLC, DCS and SCADA systems preferred.
• Functional knowledge of low voltage controls, three phase power distribution, vision systems, electronic sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics.
