Position Summary

Responsible for creating or revising programs to support the Fowler Sylvac Scan F60LT

      Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Trains with Continuous Improvement Engineer or Quality Control Engineer to learn the Sylvac Scan F60LT software.
• Works with Department Manager on production schedule to find out priority of parts to program.
• Programs parts from priority list.
• Once priority list is complete for the week, works with Continuous Improvement Engineer to program parts that are further out in the schedule.
• Edits or updates any existing programs as needed.
• Submits all programs to Quality Control Engineer for approval.
• Additional Engineering duties as assigned.

General Duties & Responsibilities

• Follows all department work procedures and company policies, including all company safety policies.
• Participates in maintaining the company’s quality system and adheres to standard operating procedures as applicable.
• Participates in employee training programs.
• Ensures the work area and equipment is properly maintained to provide a safe and efficient operation.
• Occasional overtime as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

• Must be organized and reliable, able to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and other process documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Proficient in data entry.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
• Computer skills including Microsoft suite of products as well as use of company website.

Experience and Education

• High School Education with additional education or equivalent experience preferred
• Familiar with Auto Cadd or Solid Works is preferred.
• Engineering field preferred
