Position Summary
Responsible for creating or revising programs to support the Fowler Sylvac Scan F60LT
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Trains with Continuous Improvement Engineer or Quality Control Engineer to learn the Sylvac Scan F60LT software.
- Works with Department Manager on production schedule to find out priority of parts to program.
- Programs parts from priority list.
- Once priority list is complete for the week, works with Continuous Improvement Engineer to program parts that are further out in the schedule.
- Edits or updates any existing programs as needed.
- Submits all programs to Quality Control Engineer for approval.
- Additional Engineering duties as assigned.
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Follows all department work procedures and company policies, including all company safety policies.
- Participates in maintaining the company’s quality system and adheres to standard operating procedures as applicable.
- Participates in employee training programs.
- Ensures the work area and equipment is properly maintained to provide a safe and efficient operation.
- Occasional overtime as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
- Must be organized and reliable, able to manage time and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and other process documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Proficient in data entry.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
- Computer skills including Microsoft suite of products as well as use of company website.
Experience and Education
- High School Education with additional education or equivalent experience preferred
- Familiar with Auto Cadd or Solid Works is preferred.
- Engineering field preferred
