Due to growing projects within the Purchasing North America team, a new opportunity has been created at the Magog office to find a new colleague who will take up the challenge and grow with us!
MISSION
As part of the North America Procurement Manager's team, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the management of integrating suppliers into large-scale projects with international customers to optimize product delivery times, quality and costs. This position is part of the Global Sourcing team and relates to the Beyond Road business line.
DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES
- Manage development projects for new platforms for assigned clients with the support of relevant departments (engineering, quality, manufacturing, etc.);
- Develop commercial relationships and manage the integration of suppliers in projects in collaboration with purchasing category sourcing managers and the factory material planner;
- Optimize the performance of each project in terms of supply quality, deadlines and costs to create added value for our internal partners and our customers;
- Work with research and development and engineering teams to launch new products;
- Lead projects with a multi-functional team to achieve cost reduction goals, in accordance with the relevant procurement strategy for assigned projects;
- Prepare and present to the team many types of analysis related to the projects. Total acquisition cost, cost delta, waterfall graphs and supplier selections.
WHO YOU ARE
- You hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or the equivalent;
- You have 5 to 7 years of procurement experience with an international company;
- You have strong project management skills;
- You have experience in a product development project;
- You are familiar with these specific technologies : Welding, Machining, Casting, Forging, Sheet metal, etc. (An asset)
- You have natural skills in performance optimization and know how to use technological tools for this purpose;
- You regularly use the Office suite (advanced skills in Excel) and SAP;
- You are recognized for your thoroughness and attention to details;
- You have strong negotiation skills;
- You are bilingual, French and English You have strong communication and interpersonal skills which include dealing with multicultural partners;
