Your Responsibilities
As an Engineering Project Manager for John Deere C&F Division located in Dubuque, Iowa, you will lead cross functional teams to execute and implement cost reduction projects which require engineering support. Set expectations and hold team members accountable. In addition, you will...
- Provide work direction and guidance to ETEC and contract engineering resources
- Produce and/or evaluate possible design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance based on broad knowledge of engineering and manufacturing principles. This will include involvement of product line engineering, leadership, other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel.
- Provide technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations.

What Skills You Need
- One or more years of Mechanical Design and/or Manufacturing Engineering experience
- One or more years of experience leading, prioritizing and implementing multiple projects simultaneously
- One or more years of experience with engineering tools, systems and databases
- One or more years of experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems.
- One or more years of technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/hydraulic systems.
- One or more years of Product engineering experience.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Ability to communicate globally across disciplines.
- Experience working with ETEC and/or contract resources delivering engineering results
- Experience across multiple functional areas and/or products
- Experience working with suppliers and/or supporting supply management initiatives
- Knowledge of the following processes: Continuous Improvement (CI), Enterprise Product Delivery (EPDP), Integrated System Development (ISDP), Systems Engineering, and Agile SCRUM.
- Experience with SAP, JDSN, MyProjects, EPDM, and other company specific information sources
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing principles
- Fundamental understanding of C&F machine forms, their use, and competitive machines.
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
- Degree in a Science discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
- Degree in an Agricultural Sciences discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
