Your Responsibilities

As an Engineering Supervisor for Skid Steer and Compact Track Loader Module Engineering located in Dubuque, IA, you will….

  • Lead the Module Engineering Team to execute on our quality, warranty, and cost reduction goals through continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide technical and process leadership to solve complex problems and deliver optimized solutions.
  • Perform administrative duties related to performance management, resource planning, training, and developing direct reports.

What Skills You Need

  • Experience with product development processes and what it takes to go from concept to production
  • Well versed in use of engineering tools such as Creo (Pro/E)
  • Demonstrated strong communications skills 
  • Proven ability for problem solving and leading a team through decision-making and gaining alignment
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, efficiently utilizing resources and managing priorities

  • Engineering experience designing and developing off-highway equipment
  • Experience working on complex projects requiring plan development, requirements gathering, team management, and execution
  • Ability to clearly understand customer needs and deliver customer value
  • Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions

  • Experience working with a global team

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, Aerospace or related field

About the Company

The John Deere Dubuque Works is one of the key facilities in Deere & Company's Construction and Forestry (C&F) Division. The Dubuque Works manufactures backhoe loaders, crawler dozers, and skid steer loaders for the construction industry and knuckleboom loaders and tracked feller bunchers for the forestry industry.  The Dubuque Works also serves as the Center of Excellence for the C&F Division in the areas of Product Engineering, Product Verification and Validation, Supply Management, and Product Support which includes the Dealer Technical Assistance Center.  From a manufacturing perspective, the core competencies of the factory include plate and sheet cutting, machining, welding, paint, and assembly.
