Title: Engineering Supervisor, Structures Test and Instrumentation Services - 92701

Your Responsibilities
As the Engineering Supervisor for Structures Testing and Instrumentation Services, at John Deere's Construction & Forestry Division (Dubuque Works), you will lead the validation and verification execution across all product lines. The team encompasses stress testing, accelerated design verification (ADV), operator station testing including ROPS, FOPS and ORS and instrumentation services support. You will lead a team of Deere and contract engineers in PV&V activities that span from developing and implementing strategic initiatives to tactical execution of PDP, ISDP, and CI projects. In addition, you will:
- Coordinate and align engineering resources and collaborate with the team to develop and execute plans for product verification and validation for ISDP, PDP, and CI projects
- Support the strategic direction in the development of analytical tools and test procedures to increase effectiveness and efficiency of testing
- Partner with product development teams to proactively identify and solve problems early in the design cycle
- Collaborate across the global PV&V engineering community to develop and implement best practices
- Identify and prioritize test facility and instrumentation capital improvement projects

What Skills You Need
- Demonstrated success in providing career coaching and professional development for individuals and teams
- Proven ability to develop and implement product or process improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Development Process (EPDP)
- Knowledge and familiarity with structures design, testing and/or analysis techniques
What Makes You Stand Out
- Engineering supervision experience leading a team of at least 5 direct reports
- Product engineering experience spanning multiple delivery programs
- Understanding of construction products, applications and production systems
- Experience with data acquisition systems and analysis routines
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
