Job Overview
This position is responsible for the primary oversight of Dupaco’s operations center and serve as back up for facilities management of all other Dubuque branches. The focus of this role is to keep the branches in quality operating condition maximize building efficiency and cost effectiveness. Dupaco Operations Center responsibilities include mechanical equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), grounds (parking, sidewalks, landscaping), interior (paint, carpet, lighting, tile, furnishings and janitorial), etc.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise the Dupaco Operations Center maintenance team and provide regular coaching to enable them to successfully carry out the goals and objectives of the department.
- Assist in developing, implementing and tracking of team goals, strategies and incentives as well as the credit unions strategic plans.
- Manages all day to day operations of Dupaco Operations Center building by serving as contact for maintenance related requests from employees and building tenants.
- Assemble a vendor directory of Dupaco Operations Center contractors and ensure the building is being run operationally effective and cost efficiently.
- Manage building capital needs for annual budget as well as multi-year expenditure plan for Dupaco Operations Center building.
- Perform routine inspections of building space which include regular building checks and completion of annual building inspections which include (but is not limited to) elevator, generator, fire systems, and back flow prevention.
- Maintain electronic maintenance tracking records for Dupaco Operations Center related maintenance tasks.
- Assist in recruiting and hiring facilities staff for Dupaco Operations Center.
- Troubleshoot facilities breakdowns and emergency service activities as well as develop and implement a preventative maintenance program.
- Work with vendors and staff to seek ways to enhance cost efficiency in building operations.
- Act as the primary contact for Voices in the Business Continuity Plan execution.
- Oversee urgent facilities repairs and issues including disaster recovery (both during and after hours). Examples could include but not limited to: building damage, flooding, heating/cooling failure, electrical issues, water damage, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent experience
- 5+ years’ experience in service, repair, or facilities management is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to read, interpret design drawings
- Strong general knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, as well as problem solving skills to troubleshoot challenging maintenance issues.
