Field Service Technician

Job Overview

Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking a Field Service Technician for a local industrial equipment company. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial compressed air systems at customer locations. The Field Service Technician works directly with customers to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, solving mechanical and electrical problems, and providing excellent customer service while traveling to customer sites throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on air compressors, dryers, filters, and related compressed air equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues
• Install, start up, and commission new compressed air systems
• Complete service reports, maintenance documentation, and recommend system improvements to customers

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial mechanical or electrical equipment
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Comfortable working independently and traveling to customer sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience servicing industrial air compressor systems
• Familiarity with brands such as Gardner Denver, Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Quincy, Sullair, or Kaeser
• Welding, fabrication, millwright, HVAC, or refrigeration experience is a plus
• Basic computer skills for service reporting and documentation
