A local greater Galena area organization is seeking to add an Accountant to their team. The Accountant will manage all accounting and finance activities as it relates to the hiring organization. The best fit candidate will assist with development and achievement of the organization’s financial short term and long range plans, goals and objectives. This position will also perform many day to day accounting activities as well.  

What you get to do (in a snap-shot):

• Preparation and management of the operating budget, program budgets and short and long term fiscal planning
• Manages the full financial accounting, including accounting procedures, bank accounts, and expenditures and reconciliations.
• Coordinates annual audit and tax return preparation
• Conducts research, and compiles and types statistical reports.
• Responsible for financial reports (financial statements, audits and reimbursements).

What we need from you:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Finance or Accounting related field (required)
• Proven professional work experience in fiscal management and financial background
• Solid proven experience with Microsoft Suite products and accounting software
• Excellent communication skills and ability to connect and communicate with a variety of skill sets and personality.
