Medical Associates Clinic & Health Plans is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team! Ideal candidates will have experience with advance excel functions such as VLOOKUPS and pivot tables, auditing background. Experience with SQL, medical, audits, and/or insurance is helpful but not required.
The Role:
Create and analyze reports needed for the Health Plan and Clinic decision making. Ensure regulatory compliance by performing internal audits for Health Plan departments. Training and career growth opportunities available for dedicated individuals!
This position is full-time with benefits, Monday – Friday 8am-5pm in our Medical Associates Health Plans building (1605 Associates Drive). Upon completion of training, this role will be a hybrid position – working two days a week in the office and three days a week remotely.

Based on experience and department needs, this position will be able to support and contribute to the following major duties and responsibilities:
- Reporting and Presentation: Extract, compile, analyze and interpret data to drive key business decisions for the Health Plans and Clinic. Prepare business reports, summary analysis, and presentations for upper management and executives. Responsible for various annual reporting such as budget for the Health Plan, Cost Report, Report Cards, and Dashboard tools.
- Data Analysis: Cleanse, validate, and transform raw data into a usable format for analysis. Apply statistical and mathematical techniques to analyze data sets and uncover insights. Use data visualization tools to create charts, graphs, and dashboards that convey complex data in a clear and understandable manner. Identify patterns, trends, and correlations in the data to support decision-making and business objectives.
- Internal Auditing: Develop and maintain internal audits to ensure a high level of accuracy, efficiency and compliance. Validate and analyze results before developing solutions to enhance processes, reporting and data management. Present findings at Quarterly Compliance Meetings.
Knowledge and SkillsExperience: One to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: Equivalent to 4 year/Bachelors degree (Analytics, finance or math preferred)
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
Physical Aspects:
Reaching - Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Lifting - Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
Fingering - Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
Grasping - Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Talking - Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
Hearing - Perceiving the nature of sound with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.
Vision - 20 / 40 or better in the best eye with or without correction.
Repetitive Motions - Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Environmental Conditions: None - The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
